If you have a slow PC, yes, it can take a while, although 3-4 hours seems a
little slow. Ensure that you are running as little as possible in the background... no Seti at Home, no antivirus etc etc... and do NOT work or play on the PC at the same time..... go make a cup of coffee or watch tv.... the phrase "Step Away From the Computer" comes to mind! If you're doing a LOT of digital editing, think P4 CPU over 2Ghz..... and 1gb RAM etc. I used to try with a 2Ghz Celeron.... hmmm that was fun (NOT!) It always did it.... eventually... but took forever. I used to save a completed movie overnight to save my sanity. Then I got a 2.66Ghz P4. Now I'm smiling!
