Default How do I do a audio capture directly from my PC sound card?

DWB

Not sure if this is any help, but I've had good luck
creating audio clips (especially sound-effects) using the
AUDACITY shareware. The user interface is very intuitive
and there are a lot of special-effects to experiment
with.

There is also an almost limitless ability to "undo",
which results in the ability to very quickly isolate the
audio you want and to enhance it via the roomful-of-
monkeys approach without having to worry about having to
start all over if you screw something up... MY kind of
software :-)
