Your ISP usually gives some free web space. You can upload a movie file to
it and send your family members a link to the file. You don't need a web page or site. Thanks PapJohn. Even if the file is 55mb? What if the ISP doesnt give nay
free web space? "PapaJohn (MVP)" <PapaJohn@CharterMI.net> wrote in message news:10292es5ajkh9f@corp.supernews.com... > Your ISP usually gives some free web space. Then you have to beg/borrow/steal webspace from somewhere.... or pay a
hosting service. If you can't get free space, there are services that will let you post it for a fee. 55 MB is pretty hefty.... maybe burn it to CDs and mail it. Frank,
I looked at OptimumOnline, your ISP, and see that it doesn't provide some webspace except for you mailbox. So, what else? Some web service providers have 'specials'.... in October I signed up for a free 3-year promotional account period with 1&1..... https://admin.1and1.com/ If you have the computer skills to set your own computer up to be your own host, you can do that. Family and friends might have servers that you could use some space on.... I keep my MM2 website on the server that one of my sons maintains for his business. Schools have servers... your local community college or university might provide students with some space..... take a course. Search Google for 'free isp' and explore. But, back to your 55 MB movie.... it's a bit high to expect a free service.... you might save it with higher compression or edit it down more.
