mm2 serious error crash

movie maker crashes seemingly randomly during video editing and a reinstall seemed to help, but now i cannot save a movie. It has crashed anywhere from 15 to 62 percent complete. AMD 2500+ with a Serial ATA partitioned dedicated video drive and 1 gig of ram. I can't believe it's my system. Any ideas

Try this: start>programs>accessories>system information>tools>direct x diagnostic tool>more help>override. Select default. This worked for me. No more crashes even after I tried to crash MM2.
