Default Capture format

What is the best capture format if I am going to be
burning to DVD's for viewing on a tv?

Do I wnat to use DV-AVI or High quality video (NTSC) or
something in between?

Thanks!

DV-AVI is the best... provided you have the hard drive space.

Is it pretty much standard that you only get one hour of
video on a DVD? I am capturing from a Sony DCR-TRV310
video camera. I would like to maybe get two or three
tapes on a DVD. Is that possible?

Thanks!

Becca

It's a function of the quality of the video and audio you want. The
higher video quality and higher audio quality = less minutes of play
time on the DVD.
