Video/Audio speeds up

I have section of my movie where the audio and video plays
at a faster speed even though I have not added that
effect. The clips play fine by themselves and when added
to a different part of the movie. But if I delete them and
add them back into the same part, they play fast again. I
have added double speed video effect to the clips BEFORE
these clips. Also, when I play back the video in full
screen mode, it stops on the last of the clips that I'm
having trouble with. Any suggestions?
