Default DV-AVI saves as Sony Digital Video

Can anyone help?

When I capture video using Movie Maker with my JVC GRD20
camcorder and save as DV-AVI, there are no details in the
summary tab of the .avi file properties only duration.
This is causing me trouble as my AVI splitting program
does not split the file correctly. I'm pretty sure it is
something to with the codec dvsd, is there anything I can
do or can I change the codec when outputting captured dv
to a DV-AVI file.

Thanks
