which brand/model is better?

Hello all:

I used to use a digital video camera recorder
"Sony Digital Handycam DCR-TRV17" from one of my
relatives. Now I am deciding to buy a new one for
my own.

Except for good quality-price-ratio, I require
the new one must be easily to show/playback on both
TV and PC.

Which brand/model should I purchase? Hope your
suggestion!

Well, I rather like the Canon and Panasonic cameras...I have two Canon and
one Panasonic. I have to say that I prefer the Canon out of the two makes. I
have seen some very good comments about Sony. At the end of the day it
comes down too How many Pixels, How many CCD's is the Anamorphic approach
used to simulate (and there is your clue) the wide screen effect, or is it
true wide screen capable. Its a tricky business all around...sorting the
advertising bumph from hard fact.
