I have Windows XP Professional. After downloading
mm20enu.exe, the file will not run. The following error message is generated: mm20enu.exe is not a valid Win32 application. I also downloaded file for direct installation, and it failed the same way. Why isn't this a good file? What can I do to complete a proper install? |

Maybe the Problem Solving... MM2 Will Not Install page of www.papajohn.org
will help. PapaJohn "Doug" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:034601c3a72c$fc5b5730$a401280a@phx.gbl... > I have Windows XP Professional. Thanks for the assist. I did check your site (great
resource!). I don't have MM1 installed, so don't think the solution you suggest is a way out. Any other ideas would be VERY MUCH appreciated. >-----Original Message----- >Maybe the Problem Solving... Doug,
You're using XP Professional, so you have MM1 or MM2. It's included in the operating system. Guess I figured you were upgrading from MM1 to MM2. Hi there,
If you have an AntiVirus program scanning all inbound files you may get this problem. Symantec AntiVirus is known to do it and I am not certain, but I think McAfee will also do....its down to the settings in the AV program...so if you have one running, disable it for the duration of the download... -- Best Regards.....John Kelly www.the-kellys.org ---- God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference. |

PapaJohn,
You are right - I did have MM1 on my computer! So I tried to follow your suggestions from MKBA-825229. But the file C:\Windows\...\{60BFF50D-FB2C-...} does not exist anywhere on my computer. Any ideas on what I might to to upgrade? Doug >-----Original Message----- >Doug, > >You're using XP Professional, so you have MM1 or MM2. Maybe you have a corrupt download file. Start at the beginning and download
the MM2 installation file. Doug,
Did you see my reply to you on the 10th November? -- Best Wishes.....John Kelly www.the-kellys.org --- In Xanadu did Kubla Khan a stately pleasure-dome decree : Where Alph, the sacred river, ran Through caverns measureless to man Down to a sunless sea. |
