In the past I used MM2 without problem. I have not used it for several
months. Now when I use it everything is normal until I try to save to my computer. I get an error message that the source files are missing or there is not enough disk space. I do not believe that this is the case. Any idea as to what is wrong and what I can do to fix it. Thanks |

PapaJohn, did some reading on your web page which indicated an old QAFS.dll
could be the problem. I have version 6.4.2600. Question, how do I get an updated version. Many thanks, that did it. I tried a reinstall of MM2 earlier that did not
work. "PapaJohn (MVP)" <PapaJohn@CharterMI.net> wrote in message news:vm9iln1hkuo414@corp.supernews.com... > That would result in being able to save to DV-AVI format, but not WMV. Hi Roy,
I have the exact same problem as you described but I have no luck like you are. My DLL file is up-to-date (9+ version) to start with. I have tried to re-install MM2 too. What procedure did you do exactly to solve it? I also try to access PapaJohn's website but the menu items won't show up. Can't dig any more info. other than checking all the message threads here. Please post any solution link here, PapaJohn. Thanks! Arnold |

Hi Arnold,
A few people have problems seeing the menu at the left. Most are resolved by using the Refresh button on the browser, or by checking it a bit later. The menu is older Java code, so any settings you have that effect Java might be involved. Here is a set of links directly to the pages in the Problem Solving section: ..... Thanks for the links, PapaJohn!
There are lot of information and I'll go over all of them to see if I can come up with a solution. So far, I have no luck with the following methods: 1. re-install WM2 2. update my computer with latest Direct X 9.0b The current version of my qasf.dll is: 9.00.00.2980 built by: lab03_dev(bld4act). It is very frustrating that I can only save the movie in AVI, but not any other format. Btw, I have tried to access your web site a month ago and the menu just won't show up at all. Refresh the screen doesn't work either. I am using Internet Explorer 6. I also try to ask Microsoft for help but you know what, it indicates I have a OEM OS and it points me to talk to DELL instead. Come on! Who writes the software? |
