ordinal error

ok, i looked and found one other person having the same
problem as i:

"7/2/03 - shadowman - everytime I try to run MM2 I get
the following error message "The Ordinal 161 could not be
located in the dynamic link library WMMUtil.dll."

6/17/03 - Grahm - I get the error "The ordinal 466 could
not be located in the dynamic link library WMMUtil.dll"
when I attempt to launch movie maker. I have since re-
installed if from the download available from the MS site
to no avail. > You could try just replacing the dll. > I
was using MM2 and tried everything that I could......
Including a full repair of XP. That failed to correct it,
in fact I got another "ordinal missing" error once the
repair was done. The error was the same but for the
number 161. I have since done a full reinstall of XP
(without formatting) and it works again"


but there has to be a solution other than doing a full
reinstall of win xp.

Can anyone help?
