See the Saving Movies... Sample Video Clips page of www.papajohn.org for
some comparisons of file sizes and bitrate of various selections, including
MPG

Thank you very much,

I've been on your usefull site. I've followed your instructions. I've create
a new profile With Windows Media Encoder, and put it in c:\Program
Files\Movie Maker\Shared\Profiles

Problem :
My new profile does not appear in the "pick list of choices to save a movie"
(I've restarted Movie Maker 2)

That would mean that one or more of your parameters won't work in MM2. Put
my sample one in and see if that shows up, just to confirm that a new one
will appear.

Then try yours again - maybe changing one parameter at a time so you know
which one won't work

Thank you, you're right, the sample profile is perfectly recognised.

So my pb is that my profile has 1 or more incorrect parameter.

I've found that my wrong parameter was the choice of something like "same
size as original video". Now I've manually put 720*576 and all is OK.
May be that can help if someone has the same pb.

Thant you again for your efficient help.
