Default Problems with Windows Movie Maker

When I try to use WMM (Windows Movie Maker), just won't
do anything. When I want to change the quality of the
image, or add a title, the whole program disappear, not
even a window is appearing telling me of a problem. It
just goes away as if I never opened WMM. Can someone tell
me what to do?
