Copying

Is there a way to copy VHS to computer to have a clear picture? Perhaps at
a higher resolution? I can now get the video and sound to computer, even
able to save with transitions and all to VCD. BUT the copies when played
via the TV looks out of focus, low resolution looking.
Any suggestions?
