Greetings, I do not use PowerPoint so have no idea what the output quality is like. But, you should consider exporting to a straight bitmap...not PNG or JPG, however if you have no choice you should set the compression of the exported image to zero...this will make the file larger of course...but that's no problem. If you take a little look at www.the-kellys.org and view "Old Snaps" you will see a bit of video that was made from still images. The size of each image was in the 2 to 3 MB range. I did that because I have found that the resizing algorithm in MM2 is rather good and will compress down where needed very well indeed. The full DVD versions of all of the videos on that site look absolutely excelent.(I am of course biased) However, if you start off with a fairly small/low res image the algorithm in MM2 will not do a very good job and you will end up with something ranging between slightly grainy to very blocky!! There are expensive techniques for increasing the physical size and resolution of an image, but as far as MM2 goes, you get what you paid for ... Not True, you get a hell of a lot more than what you paid...but I guess you know what I mean. So, MM2 is very good at bringing the size of an image down, but not very good at increasing it. Regards..... |
