Default Movie Maker 2 closes without showing an error, when selecting the effect option.


Someone please help !

Movie Maker 2.0 closes when trying to use effects - we've
even tried this codec renaming...what could cause the
problems ? Could someone make a list ?

I renamed the file divxaf.ax and now my MM2,
finally, works!!! Fantastic!!

me was to rename c:\windows\system32\divxaf.ax to
something else, ex. 0000divx.ax so it will not get loaded.
It is the Divx anti-freeze codec.
This cured my MM2 unexpected closing problem.
