WMM2 may not be the "best thing" out there, but I also think it's pretty
decent (my biggest gripe about most other packages is that they aren't a
very "Windows like" application - I don't want fancy skins to make a program
look like a piece of hardware).

I think the lack of VCD/DVD support in WMM2 has to be the #1 complain in
this newsgroup. Microsoft may be listening; see the "DVD movie making"
section near the end of
http://www.winsupersite.com/showcas...review_2003.asp. Although
since this is part of "Longhorn", don't expect to see it anytime soon
(current estimates are late 2005 to early 2006...by then we'll probably all
have DVD writers and won't care about VCDs anymore).

Finally, note that there is *NO* hardware available (to consumers, at
least - there is probably something in a R&D lab somewhere) that can play
the HighMAT CDs created by WMM2. The HighMAT players currnetly available
only support music and images, not video.
