Default RD and VPN: Keyboard/mouse delays

I am using Securemote VPN connection between my XP Home
machine at home, and XP Pro machine at work. First time I
connect, all is fine. If I disconnect. Then reconnect
later, all keyboard and mouse entries are very slow,
making the connection unusable. The only solution we've
found for this is to have someone reboot my XP Pro
machine at work. Rebooting the XP Home machine does not
help. Closing down Securemote and relaunching it does not
help. Neither machine using animated cursors, screen
savers, etc. Both running 1024 x 768 resolution. XP Pro
on Novell Network. XP Home running over cable modem.

Any suggestions?

Wow,

We are having the same exact problem using a Cisco VPN 3030 concentrator.
If machine is rebooted it works fine - but if it hasn't the connection is
unusable until the host is rebooted. We haven't been able to determine why
this happens - but it seems to occur over VPN connections only.
