Default Remote desktop & DSL (dynamic dsl address) solutions

For someone who has DSL and is assigned an ip address dynamically (for the
host computer), and wants to use remote desktop, what are the best
(cheapest) solutions?

A free dynamic DSL provider is cheapest. If you are really cheap, you can
use kluges like email messages (the IP is in the header.) I've seen folks
use Eudora as an autoresponder--they send a message, the host is running,
pulls down the message, sends an auto-response. Read the headers from the
autoresponse.

My Dynamic DSL list isn't current--maybe others here can talk about the good
free providers. I use TZO's paid service myself. You can try it out for 30
days just to get the concept clear, if you want: www.tzo.com

In addition to the comments by Bill and Jeffrey, I use http://www.no-ip.com which is *FREE*... It
works very well...

I use "dyndns.org" ... it's free.

If you are looking for free Remote Access Tools, you can also take a look at
my Remote Office forum: www.deltasoft.hr/remote/forum
You will find everything you need to do any kind of Remote Control using
Internet or LAN there.

Best Regards,
