Default help with messenger/web cam


I just installed a web cam. Audio & video work during
self-test. Windows Messenger 4.7.3 WILL send text IM OK
but will NOT allow video or audio. Messenger shuts down.

I tried disabling Norton Pers Firewall 2005 & Messenger
still shuts down. Win XP Firewall is turned off.

What else can I try? Thanks.
