messenger wont let me sign in as self

bought the computer off someone and their details are on
the sign in created a passport for self but it says they
dont recognise me so every time i try to use the internet
the computer alerts me it is going to turn its self off
automatically is this cos my passport is not
recognised????? please help me im new to this computering
