windows messenger

hi everyone this is a hum dinger my girlfriend upgraded
messenger onto my pc from an old defunct version from way
back after she finished using the programe things started
to go wrong when i tried to delete messenger i came
across a problem i started with the usual all programes
deleted mess. 6.2 but was still there logging in as my
girlfriend next went to c-drive programe files found
messenger tried to delete window poped up cannot delte
files someone else using programe or another programe is
using this file PLEASE can anyone help to get rid of
messenger from my pc thanks mike

Hey Mike,
There is two Messenger Versions, 1) Windows Messenger
[4.7 is the newest]and 2) MSN Messenger [6.2 is the
newest]
What you deleted was the msn messenger, not the windows
messenger. Windows messenger is tied to some programs
like Outlook Express. If your recieving an error from the
Windows messenger, either it is corrupt, or there is
something eles wacko in your computer.
A good way to start off any error, is to eliminate,
1) Ad ware (use either or both --> spybot, Ad-aware)
2) Viruses (you can have a free computer scan at house
calls)
once these are done, defrag your system, and see if you
get this error again. If you do...repost giving us your
Operating System infor.
