In XP Home when setting up a user account you can associate the account with
the user's .NET passport. How can you unassociate it? There is no way in Control Panel/User Accounts that I can see. TIA Andrew |

Hi,
Click on the Start menu then go to Run and type in "control userpasswords2" without the quotes. The User Accounts window will appear, now click on the Advanced Tab. Now under Passwords and .NET Passports click on the Manage Passwords button. Select the accounts you have and then cilck the remove button. -- Gary Tsang Microsoft MVP - Windows XP Shell/User http://www.microsoft.com/mvp "Andrew" <x@x.com> wrote in message news:O4PLKGDREHA.2936@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > In XP Home when setting up a user account you can associate the account > with > the user's .NET passport. > > How can you unassociate it? 1. Open XP's "Help and Support Center".
2. In the Search box type: PASSPORT , and hit enter. 3. Click on "Store default Passport information". 4. Open the .NET Passport Wizard" and click Next 3 times, then uncheck "Associate my Passport with my Windows user account. 5. Make sure to logon as the correct user before doing this. -- Carey Frisch Microsoft MVP Windows XP - Shell/User Be Smart!
