is there any way to change the browser used by MSN
messenger to check emails and open links sent in IM's? I don't use Internet Explorer (use Mozilla instead) and I would like messenger to use Mozilla when I click on the Hotmail link at the top of the list of messenger contacts. Any help would be appreciated. **PS I use Messenger 6.2** Colin |

Greetings Colin,
Unfortnately no, all current versions of MSN Messenger (this does *not* include Windows Messenger) use Internet Explorer exclusively. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Colin Birkett" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1391901c44410$42ff4e50$a401280a@phx.gbl... > is there any way to change the browser used by MSN > messenger to check emails and open links sent in IM's? > > I don't use Internet Explorer (use Mozilla instead) and I > would like messenger to use Mozilla when I click on the > Hotmail link at the top of the list of messenger contacts. > > Any help would be appreciated. > > **PS I use Messenger 6.2** > > Colin |

thanks for the reply
In reply to your answer, is it possible that in future MSN Messenger builds a 'browser preference' option could be included? |

Hi Colin,
This behavior actually changed in MSN Messenger 5.x, and I don't know of any plans in the near future that will change this behavior. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com All posts unless otherwise specified are (c) 2004 Jonathan Kay.
