I have MSN Messenger 6.2.0133 installed, and clicking on
the email popup notification no longer takes me to my hotmail inbox (in fact, it does nothing). I have recently installed XP SP2 RC1 (I'm running Windows XP Professional). I wonder if this is the culprit? Any ideas are welcome. Martin |

Greetings Martin,
I've installed RC1 on a number of PCs now, and none have had this problem (so it's not widespread to SP2 anyway). I'm curious however, if you go into Internet Explorer, go to any page, right-click on a hyperlink and choose "Open in New Window", does a new window pop-up? ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Martin Lee" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:12f8801c44337$45b21ee0$a101280a@phx.gbl... >I have MSN Messenger 6.2.0133 installed, and clicking on > the email popup notification no longer takes me to my > hotmail inbox (in fact, it does nothing). I have also found this problem with Windows Messenger, whereby the
notification I had for unread mail on my hotmail account has gone, and clicking the email link now opens my Outlook mail! It's as though SP2 removed the hotmail add in. |
