Default Windows Login still linked to wrong .NET passport account.

Hi
A friend of mine was working on my computer the other day, and he logged into MSN Messanger to chat with his friends.
Now, when I boot up my computer, I get a message (20 unread messages) next to my sign in account (these are actually his unread emails).
I have tried removing all my "stored network passwords" from the User accounts / Manage my network passwords options, but it still shows (even after a reboot)
Is there something in the registry that I need to remove in order to fix this

Thank
-d

Greetings D,

Yes exactly -- the e-mail number is actually just a registry key and isn't connected to the
stored network passwords. To reset this, click Start, then click Run and enter "regedit.exe"
and click OK. Then navigate (it's like Windows Explorer) to My
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\yourmsnname@hotmail.com

Where yourmsnname@hotmail.com is the passport. Double-click the MessageCount and enter 0 as
the value (this will set back to none). Then click OK, close the registry editor, and log
out.

If you want to disable this feature all together (no registry changes required), download the
TweakUI powertoy:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...s/powertoys.asp (see on the right).

After you have TweakUI installed, click Start, All Programs, Powertoys for Windows XP, and
choose TweakUI for Windows XP. In the TweakUI window, on the left, click the '+' next to
Logon, and choose Unread Mail. Uncheck 'Show unread mail on Welcome screen' and click OK.
