Default 0x81000307 error & can't login to hotmail

Hi,

I wonder if some (probably Jonathan) can help me. A few
days ago my Windows Messenger stopped working and began
giving the infamous 0x81000307 error as well as I am not
able to loggin to hotmail. I am very distraught at the
moment cause I just bought this computer for over
$2,000. Anyway, I have searched all over and tried
everything (including what Jonathan has suggested to
other users; the delete cookies and adjust internet
settings advices.

Anyway,.....nothing has worked. I am at the point of
installing my operating system cause I am veryyyyy
angry. I even have MSN Messenger 6.1 to replace Windows
Messenger, still nothing helps. I ran virus scans galore
using AVG and Norton still nothing. I ran registry
mechanic still nothing. I ran Window Washer and Ad-
aware.. nothing. Now tell me why the HELL can no one
tell me how to fix this problem. Well for the experts
out there just let me know if I should uninstall Windows
XP and start over I would not mind at all since as I said
the computer is fresh out the box.

regards,

I have been having trouble with hotmail too and it's driving me crazy! I have tried everything and nothing works and when Icall to get help somewhere nobody knows anything about it. These are people who are supposed to be computer whizzesand they can't tell you a damn thing about it. I went to the library the other day and I was able to sign in on their computer but when I got home and tried it on mine, nothing. What the hell is going on?

The error message relates to the failure of .NET sign in
(mesenger/hotmail use .net)

Check ISP/Systems Administrator for any changes made to
your network connectivity.

First try going online to hotmail.com to verify your password works
(forgive me if I am starting out too simply, just have to cover the
basics first). Second make sure you have all the updates from Windows
updates, I think there is an MSN Messenger update. Third turn off
Norton anti virus and firewall if on and try again. Fourth, I would
try installing an earlier version of MSN messenger, it could be an
incompatible with some software on your new machine. Lastly check the
following web site:

The post by DeftOnes about 2/3 down the page looks like it might help
your problem. If all this fails please email me from my website and I
will try to help some more.
