Hotmail Inbox status not refreshed

I recently noticed that my windows messenger is no longer
notifying me of new incoming messages. Also, it does not
update the number of new messages I have unless I sign-
off and re-login. I have tried reinstalling the latest
messenger (windows messenger 4.7.2009), as well as the
msn add-in, but neither has solved the problem. Thanks

This is actually a problem affecting a number of users, it should be resolved soon.
