Default Changing Password

I wanted to change my password, so I went to Hotmail, and
clicked options. But it is nowhere to be found. I have
even used the online help and followed the directions--
the change password link doesn't show up. Does it show up
for anyone else? Is there anywhere else to change the
password?

Also I am still using Windows Messenger 4.7--Messenger
5.0 has just gone too crappy, and I don't really care for
or even like MSN Messenger. Everytime I get a new email
alert and click it to go to my hotmail account, it
doesn't work---usually 9 out of 10 times I get a page
stating something that the page couldn't be found, and
the one time it does take me to my hotmail. Would this
have to do with me using an older version of messenger?--
(This seems to work fine when I'm at home using dial-up,
but not when I'm connected to the school's network. Could
this be affecting it?

Greetings Cody,

To change your .NET Passport password (which is what is used to sign into Hotmail, Messenger,
etc.), simply go here:
https://memberservices.passport.net...RV_ChangePW.srf

The school network may in fact be effecting it -- when you go into Hotmail, you're
authenticated by SSL (the protocol used to encrypt information like your credit card while
making an online purchase) -- if your school uses some sort of SSL proxy or some other method
of 'throttling', the authentication might not be successful. Also, are you using the same PC
at school (ex. Laptop) or a school computer? If it's a different computer, the SSL/browser
may not be set up correctly on the school computer, there may be an obsolete cookie on that
particular computer or the date on that computer may not be successfully set properly.

Ok, I've changed the password (even had a little trouble
with that---same as getting into hotmail--i get "page
could not be displayed"). If I'm lucky I'll be able to
get into it once in awhile. If it's the school's network
causing it, is there anyway I can work around this?
