I can use the camera in other programs but not MSN
Messenger 6.0. I can run the audio/video testing and the camera connected to the S-Video input on the ATI card is detected. When I try to use the webcam settings or start a session, it says there is no camera detected... Kinda strange??? Got any clues to this one??? Thanks, Henry Spikes |

Greetings Henry,
Are you using the 'Webcam' option -- if so MSN Messenger 6's 'Webcam' option cannot use firewire cameras or video inputs from video cards (in most cases). Instead, run through the Audio/Video Tuning Wizard to select the correct input (you can find this option in any Tools menu in MSN Messenger 6), then use the Actions menu, 'Start Video Conference' option, which does support firewire cameras, video inputs, etc. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Windows MVP, Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Henry Spikes" <hrspikes@comcast.net> wrote in message news:072f01c36601$fd45b3f0$a501280a@phx.gbl... > I can use the camera in other programs but not MSN > Messenger 6.0.
