Greetings Isaac,

Here's some advantages -- built in Exchange support (without downloading a separate Exchange
version), new[er] file transfer protocol (including UPnP), and digital ink (TabletPC
support).

Is there any way to get the Hotmail support back in Windows Messenger v5.0 -
I'm still using 4.7 and would like to use 5.0 but only if I've got hotmail
access.

Hi Ian,

No -- Windows Messenger 5 does not support Hotmail support (you'll need to stick with 4.7 or
use MSN Messenger 6 instead).

Hi,

Do you mean remote assistance? If so, it's still an option in Windows Messenger 5.

Hi,

Try this -- assuming the Windows installation is in
C:\Windows (if it's not, you'll have to edit the drive letter in the file in Notepad before
running), just run this .reg file, reboot and then look again:

Hi DCH,

I'm not quite sure why you would've lost this registry entries (and especially not the
others).
