Default Norton Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)

Is installing Norton's WMI REALLY NECESSARY if you're simply
a home XP user and have Norton AV 2002 already installed?

We recieve the LIVE UPDATES fine already, so what's it major purpose?

Thx - Infnet

Answered elsewhere.
In the future, please CROSS POST instead of MULTI POST. That way if someone
answers you in one group, they answer you everywhere else too.

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.
