I've installed the windows xp sp2 and am having trouble when i connect to the
inter net my computer freezes and the internet explorer is not working.

With the data at hand, you might have upgraded over an infected (trojan,
virus...) installation.
Either google for the issue, or
Check you Application, System Error logs in Administrative Tools/Event
Viewer (for XPPro only, I guess), or
Save what you need to save and install clean. A clean install w/ SP2 update
would put you back online in 2 to 3 hours - pending what hardware you have.
