Default Switching OS's

I am buying a new emachines that comes with Windows XP Home and would like
to swap the OS with my old machine which is running XP Pro. Is this possible
and how would I remove XP from the old machine and install on the new?

Thanks

Unless you purchased a retail version of XP Pro on the old
machine and you have the CD, you cannot "swap" them.

I have the retail upgrade to XP Pro that came with a CD and product key, can
I just run this on the new machine to upgrade and then activate or do I need
to do something to remove it from the old computer first.

I also wanted to know if the new computer which I haven't picked up yet that
comes with XP Home can be used to install on my old pc.
