Is there a way of setting up your XP machines on a network
so that they DO NOT create a Profile to the local Hard drive for every user who logs in. THANKS |

Nope, but you can configure policies so that cached copies of roaming
profiles is deleted when the user logs off. Computer Configuration -> Administrative templates -> System -> User Profiles -> Delete cached copies of romaing profiles regards Johan Arwidmark Windows User Group - Nordic http://www.wug-nordic.net On Mon, 13 Sep 2004 04:17:11 -0700, "Bryan Dillon" <bryan.dillon@wrexham.gov.uk> wrote: >Is there a way of setting up your XP machines on a network >so that they DO NOT create a Profile to the local Hard >drive for every user who logs in. > >THANKS |

An alternative, if you're using local profiles, is to add Domain Users
to the local Guests group. This causes user profiles to be deleted when they logout (except for people who are also in the local Administrators group). Regards, Phil Wade. |
