My PC has a new development since applying SP2. When I start windows, now
it opens the C:\Program Files\Common folder. Any guess on what is causing that? |

Hi boe,
That may be due to an entry in the registry that has a long file name or path, and the entry is not enclosed within quotation marks. Open the registry editor (Start>Run key in regedit then click on OK or hit ENTER). Navigate to each of the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Look in the right-hand pane, under the Data column, for an entry that begins with C:\Program Files\Common files If found, right-click the entry under the Name column that corresponds to the entry under the Data column, and select Modify. In the Value data field, enclose the path in quotation marks.Click on OK, then close the registry editor.
