Someone in my family is considering buying a pc from www.pcspecialist.co.uk and i was wondering if anyone has used them before, searched the site and couldnt find any posts.
Prices seem quite reasonable and they say that they dont use crappy parts (we shall see), they seem to get good feedback on their site and on ebay. Really appreciate any help.

I've never heard of them before, but they actually seem about average price compared to any large retailer - it not a little more expensive
I priced up a PC at Dell, looked on E-Bay (I wouldnt buy from here though if I were you), and PC Specialist - and PCS came up the most expensive. Have you thought about building your own? Its much more fun, saves money and a great learning experience. ![]()

For the system they want it is cheaper at PCS than Dell, this is the rough spec:
P4 Prescott 2.8Ghz 800fsb 1mb cache 1GB DDR400 ASUS mobo 160GB Sata 7200rpm 8mb cache CDRW+ Nero, PowerDVD. DVD 128mb 9800pro Aluminium case 550W PSU XP pro 17in CRT 1208x1024 keyboard, mouse, speakers, 2 extra fans and a 1 year warrenty =£870ish They dont want to build a pc, anyone know another place that they could get a similar spec pc for less without having to build it?

This ain't bad, just £525.00. It ain't perfect, but really not too bad at all for the money.
No monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers or software, but quite a respectable base unit for the price. Maybe worth considering.
