SP2 Install failed.

Default SP2 Install failed.


when installing SP2 the auto update came back said it had
failed. I can not figure out how to reinstall it,
because the windows update web page thinks it has already
been installed. When I checked the install history it
was there but it said it had failed. What do I do.

Bob,

can you uninstall it from Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs?
Perhaps that would solve the problem, and you could then install
it again.

They don't charge anything for the CD, but it will delay you 4-6 weeks. The
various methods of getting SP2 are listed here
