Default XP network issue spoolersv.exe

Can anyone offer a suggestion?

I want to use the XP Home machine in a home network w/ a laptop w/ XPH over
a wireless network. The wireless is ok - the laptop accesses the internet
over the router - can't get the desktop to configure - When I use the wizard
- I get this error:

Dialog box says:
szAppName : SPOOLSV.EXE szAppVer : 5.1.2600.0 szModName : ntdll.dll
szModVer : 5.1.2600.1217

Info box says:
C:\DOCUME~1\RICHAR~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERAF.tmp.dir00\spoolsv.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\RICHAR~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERAF.tmp.dir00\appcompat.txt offset :

Default RE: XP network issue spoolersv.exe

The SpoolSV.exe is the Spooler Service program that enables you to print. Normally, these types of errors are related to Printer driver that
is either old or corrupted.

The Spooler runs as a Service, you can check its status by going into the Control Panel:
Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services->Print Spooler

The status of the service must be "started". It is a trouble shooting step if you stop and then just restart the service to see if the same error
occurs.

If you have a printer setup on your XP Home laptop, check the manufacture's website for an updated driver and install it.

Please check out a couple of Microsoft articles which may help you:
