Windows XP uninstall

When I uninstall the Windows XP Professional and I want to
place the XP on my laptop, how does the CD that came with
the XP know that I have uninstalled it from the former
computer and would like to place it on a new computer?
Will it automatically know or is there something that
should be done?

The problem you'll have will be with activation.

Chances are you will not be able to Automatically Activate but will be required
to call the number and explain
