Default Xp Pro Will Not Recognize My HDD (but my BIOS will)

I have a 200G Western Digital Cavair S-ATA 150 HDD with a
Soyo K8USA motherboard, and when I try to install XP Pro
on my computer, the installation stops because XP thinks
I have no HDD. However, my computer BIOS recognizes the
HDD, and even identifyies the exact size, model, and
manufacter so I know that the problem is not caused by a
loose cable. I've tried everything I can think of. PLEASE
HELP!!

It's been my experience with SATA drives that you need to provide Setup with
a driver during bootup (F6) before it will recognize them. Check to see if
a floppy disk was provided for you with your hard drive that may contain the
drivers.

Have you formatted the drive?
