HI: It appears that my Path environment variable is
corrupted. I am using Visual Studio 2003 .NET under Windows XP Pro. How can I determine what the correct Path setting should be ? Thank You Dale |

Thank you: But this doesn't answer the question.
When Visual Studio was installed, the System and User path variables (Path and PATH, respectively) get set automatically to what they need. My User PATH variable became corrupted: its entries were relative to Visual Studio 2003 .NET. How do I gfo about getting this variable correctly set to what it was ? Thank you. >-----Original Message----- >HOW TO: Manage Environment Variables in Windows XP >http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en- us;310519&Product=winxp > >Environment Variable May Not Expand %APPDATA% to the Application Folder >http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en- us;329308&Product=winxp > >-- >Carey Frisch >Microsoft MVP >Windows XP - Shell/User > >Be Smart! Dale,
I have VS.NET 2003 installed on this machine and don't have any special enhancements to my path statement. The Command Prompt link under Visual Studio .NET Tools does, however, but it's unique to that command prompt. -- Mike Kolitz MCSE 2000 MS-MVP - Windows Setup / Deployment "DAle" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1d44a01c453b7$0b9dd470$a501280a@phx.gbl... > Thank you: But this doesn't answer the question. > > When Visual Studio was installed, the System and User > path variables (Path and PATH, respectively) get set > automatically to what they need.
