Default How many times can we run SYSPREP?

Hi guys,
I was told by my trainer that Sysprep can only run at most
3 times for the same machine image. Meaning, if there is
new software and I have updated the image for this PC, I
can only sysprep 2 times this image I am preparing.

How true is this?

Thanks.

Actually, the limitation is on the number of times that you can reset the
Activation Grace Period on a Windows XP computer using Sysprep.

You can run Sysprep as many times as you need to, but you can only reset the
activation grace period three times.

This limitation does not apply to Volume License copies, as they do not
require activation.

Hi Mike,

Thanks. Meaning if we use a Corporate Edition, we should
not have any problem.

Regards.

Correct. If you use volume licensing for Windows XP Professional, you won't
encounter this limit.
