Default WinXP Setup from diskettes

Has anyone seen this situation when loading XP from the 6
diskette files created after downloading the zip file from
Microsoft:

On Diskette 3 load I get the message:

File setupdd.sys could not be loaded. The error code is 9.

Setup stops at that point and I cannot go further

Do you have the correct disks for the correct Service Pack and
language?

If yes, perhaps there was a bad download.
Download and make the disks again.

Interestingly, I can load those diskettes on another
system without a problem...

Does the other system have the exact same OS including Service Pack?
Possibly your floppy reader is defective.

Why are you using the floppies?
All retail Windows XP CDs are bootable.
All you need to do is set the BIOS to boot to CD.

Chris;
You need to make them:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=310994

You need to make the correct disks based on Windows language and
Service pack.
