XP in a windows 2k DC environment

Are there any issues with XP in a windows 2000 environment with win2k
servers and domain controllers? We're adding XP machines to the network,
they are fine and dandy until I add them to the domain, then they won't show
the login screen, they hang frequently, if I can login i click on start and
things lock up...they just seem to go to hell. Any ideas? This has
happened on 3 different hardware sets.
