I ran into a bit of a fix and was forced to reformat my
computer. I (think) installed everything correctly. Since the time that I installed Windows (off my CD given to me by AlienWare) the Administrator account has been signing in without giving me the option to select my own. I gave it a password, but then I couldn't get into my system because it would try to log in without the password, inform me that it was wrong, and then freeze. After restoring to a much early point, I am able to get on to ask for some help. So, I took the password off, and now I'm asking you guys for help. Has anyone seen anything like this? I thought the Administrator account only showed up in safe mode and when you manually typed it in... yet it logs in for me. |

Try this:
Click Start, Click Run, In the Open: dialog box, type "control userpasswords2" Click OK. Tick the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" Hope this helps. Brian.
