The tools tab shows "media tools" as grayed out. I works
okay about once a month but I can't retension or name tapes because those choices are in "media tools". |

1. To retension a tape
Open Backup. On the Restore tab, click the tape you want to retension. On the Tools menu, click Media Tools, and then click Retension. To start Backup, click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Backup. You can also access the Retension command by right- clicking a tape on the Restore tab. 2. To name tapes, right click My Computer, select Manage > Storage > Removable Storage > Media Pools and select the relevant Backup or other tape media to process. This can be done without starting ntbackup, but requires the right tape to be injected into the appropriate Physical Locations > [select Tape Drive] > right-click > Inject. >-----Original Message----- >The tools tab shows "media tools" as grayed out.
