Default prob lem installing IIS on XP pro

I have a Dell laptop that i have been using for 6 months
for development of software.

I am currenty on a project that reqires me to install IIS
on the laptop so i have gone to ADD REMOVE and when i
check IIS and go to instaqll the software i get an error
saying files canot be found. i get the CD that came with
the laptop and make the path was pointing to the correct
loction but it still comes up. if i skip the fiel then it
keep happening for more files that are missing. i have
done aa find on the cd and still cannot find the files.

The files are defualt.asp query.asp and some DLL files

Is their some way that i have service pack 1 my CD is not
up to service pack 1.

Have you tried pointing the Installer to C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles ?

I am having the same problem and your solution doesn't work because I do not have the servicepackfiles directory configured on my drive. I managed to find both the service pack 1 and 1a disks, but neither of them will work
