installation error stuck in a loop...

Hi,

14 minutes left on the install of Win xp Prof at the
Install windows stage / registering components.

I get a popup box that states
"UNREGMP2.EXE - Entry point not found
The procedure entry point Getiums could not be located in
the dynamic link library MSDART.dll"

Just bought a new pc and gone wireless network,
unfortunately my older pc, didn't have any network
support options, so I decided to run the Windows XP setup
CD again as I couldn't see the workgroup, even though I
could ping to the pc. So I ran the install CD to add in
the network options (you know the one that allows to map
to a network drive, or My network place, etc, as these
were missing from my windows explorer and desktop). I
want to share the printer also, etc.

The only option is ok on the dialogue box, so I select ok
and it keeps coming up (after about 100 clicks on the ok
button). The only option I had was to switched the PC off
and let the PC recover when it restarted, unfortunately
it gets to the same point and the same error re-occurs....

I need help can anyone help please.
