Default XP compatibility with monitor

I have an IBM Think pad. During install of Windows XP I
received a message saying there was an imcompatibility
issues with my screen. It looks like it's in safe
mode...very poor quality, broken graphics, etc. Is there
a patch available to resolve this? K

Default Re: XP compatibility with monitor

Notebook computers require the installation of specialized hardware drivers
only the notebook manufacturer can provide.
Visit http://www-1.ibm.com/support/us/all...ad_drivers.html and download
the Windows XP drivers designed for your specific model IBM notebook, including
the video adapter and audio device drivers.

After installing the new drivers, right-click on your Desktop and select:
Properties > Settings and change the Color Quality to Highest (32-bit), then
adjust the Screen Resolution to your liking.

Then visit http://www.microsoft.com/typography...ype/default.htm
and click on "ClearType Tuner Updated".
